Samsung Bespoke AI Jet Ultra review
Should you trust your floors to AI? | 1 month of use
This July my home turned into a cleanliness laboratory, because I tested Samsung’s newest vacuum cleaner — the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra. I’ll admit the name is a mouthful, but it hides two important words: “AI” and “Ultra”. When I mentioned to friends and colleagues that I was testing a vacuum cleaner with artificial intelligence, everyone assumed it was a robot. They were pleasantly surprised to learn it’s a handheld stick vacuum. What AI features are hiding in this model, and what has using it for over a month been like? Let’s find out.
Key features
I'll skip the unboxing and get straight to the point. First, what does that compound name mean? Bespoke is Samsung's line of home appliances, distinguished by modern technology and design that lets the devices double as interior details. AI refers to the artificial intelligence features, such as AI Cleaning Mode 2.0, which recognises the surface being cleaned and adjusts suction power automatically. Jet is Samsung's vacuum series, and Ultra — as with the Galaxy S25 Ultra or Galaxy Watch Ultra — marks the very best device on offer.
Design
The vacuum comes with a modern cleaning station that looks futuristic and fits a contemporary interior well. There's no need to hide this vacuum in a cupboard — you can proudly keep it in the living room or hallway so it's quick and convenient to grab when needed. The Bespoke AI Jet Ultra's body and station are made from sturdy plastic. I'd have liked to see more aluminium (especially where the tube connects), but plastic reduces the weight, which matters in use, and the device certainly doesn't look cheap.
Artificial intelligence features
As I mentioned, the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra has second-generation AI Cleaning Mode 2.0. The main Active Dual Brush and Slim LED+ Brush heads have a sensor that recognises the surface being cleaned. The earlier AI Cleaning Mode 1.0 could distinguish hard floors, carpet, corners and the vacuum being lifted. The new version adds recognition of different carpet types. When cleaning a rug, for example, the vacuum reduces suction power so it's easier to manoeuvre. Why is that useful? First, you don't have to change suction modes by hand. Second, the vacuum uses 21% less battery energy, extending overall runtime. Third, manoeuvrability improves by 8%.
Does the feature always work? No, and it would be naive to expect otherwise, since everything depends on how the sensor reads the surface. Sometimes I actually want to increase power on carpets, particularly ones with a lot of hair. Manoeuvrability suffers, but the vacuum picks up more dirt.
Modes
Beyond AI Cleaning Mode 2.0 the vacuum offers four modes: Min, Mid, Max and Jet. That last one delivers suction power of up to 400 W. This surprised me most, because the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra is the most powerful vacuum I've ever used. I really didn't expect a stick vacuum to reach that kind of power. Vacuums of this type usually offer less power than conventional cyclone or bagged models plugged straight into the mains. But the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra lifted every last speck of dust. Vacuuming the hallway rug left the strongest impression: in Jet mode it managed to pick up most of the sand and grit. It's worth noting, though, that in Jet mode runtime across both batteries is only up to 15 minutes.
The cleaning station
The Bespoke AI Jet Ultra comes with a futuristic cleaning and charging station, the All-in-one Clean Station. It's essential, because emptying a dust container straight into the bin sends a lot of dust back into the air. The vacuum itself has a HEPA filtration system that traps up to 99.999% of fine dust. The automatic station empties the vacuum's dust container and holds the dust in, thanks to a similar filtration system. All you need to do is change the dust bag every couple of months — and three come in the box. The station also charges the vacuum's battery, runs diagnostics and warns you about a clogged filter or hair in the brushes. The All-in-one Clean Station stands firmly on the floor, so it needs no additional wall mounting. The one quirk: during charging and cleaning the tube and at least one brush must be attached, otherwise there isn't enough weight for the charging contacts to meet.
Batteries
A powerful HexaJet motor needs big batteries. Two come in the box: the larger runs for up to 100 minutes and the smaller for up to 60 minutes. It's worth noting those figures are achieved in the lowest (Min) power mode. The large battery will easily see you through the whole house, while the smaller one is perfect for furniture or a car interior. A full charge takes up to five hours. It's very convenient that Samsung includes a separate charger, so you can charge both batteries at once. The smaller battery is lighter, which makes it more comfortable for cleaning furniture, shelves or curtains.
While vacuuming, the display shows remaining runtime, making it easy to plan your cleaning. During charging the screen shows the charge level, and the battery itself has an indicator that changes colour according to its level.
Accessories
I’m pleased that the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra ships with a wide range of accessories suited to most situations. The main Active Dual Brush works on all floor types and carpets. Nylon and rubber bristles pick up pet hair and dirt. LED lighting illuminates dust, making it easier to spot missed patches or clean poorly lit rooms. AI Cleaning Mode 2.0 automatically adjusts the roller speed to the floor type.

The other brush — the Slim LED Brush+ — suits hard floors better, particularly spots under furniture, thanks to its slim design. It also has LED lighting and works with AI Cleaning Mode 2.0. Both brushes clean easily, so removing hair or other debris is simple.

The smaller Pet Tool+ picks up pet hair superbly and is especially good for upholstered furniture. I also used it in the car, and the experience was far more convenient than vacuuming with a small brush or a larger head.

The box also includes the usual attachments: a narrow crevice tool that extends to reach awkward spots (balcony frames, or gaps between furniture), a brush suited to surfaces and shelves, and a flexible attachment that extends what those tools can do, making it easier to vacuum higher up.
The accessories are stored neatly in an accessory stand, so they’re less likely to go missing and easier to keep together and move around.

The aluminium telescopic tube adjusts easily and suits most users. Even for me, being on the taller side, the vacuum was comfortable to use.

Smart features
The Bespoke AI Jet Ultra is a smart appliance that connects to your home network (the cleaning station does, to be precise). You can monitor the vacuum’s status in the SmartThings app, where you can see the battery level, empty the dust container, set the default suction mode and review diagnostic messages. I particularly liked that the app tracks electricity consumption and even provides usage statistics. It would be more interesting if I owned more Samsung appliances, but at least I could work out what a single vacuuming session costs.

At first the call and message alerts feature seemed odd. The vacuum's display can show you when someone is calling or has sent a message. It's genuinely useful, because the vacuum is loud, and if your phone is in another room the on-screen notification means you won't miss a call. I see a couple of drawbacks: the feature needs Wi-Fi on the phone, and the vacuum's display only shows a call icon rather than who is calling. On top of that, call and message alerts only work with Galaxy phones, and not all Galaxy A and Galaxy M series devices support SmartThings.

The Bespoke AI Jet Ultra is a top-tier vacuum cleaner that proves a handheld model can match conventional ones and, in some cases, even beat them. The artificial intelligence features aren’t perfect yet and may seem simple, but the vacuum’s power (up to 400 W), long runtime across two batteries and highly capable self-emptying station make it an exceptional choice. It’s built for people who value modern design, convenience and efficiency, and who are willing to pay a high price for them. If you’re after a powerful, stylish and technology-rich vacuum, this model is well worth your attention, despite its weight and limited colour options.
